John T. Crosslin, Jr. of Quincy, died March 31, 2020 after a courageous battle, he was 64. The beloved husband of 41 years to Carol (McCusker) Crosslin of Quincy. Devoted father of Brendan and Ryan Crosslin both of Quincy. Cherished son of Ellen Crosslin of Cambridge and the late John T. Crosslin, Sr. Brother of Peggy Eno of Cambridge and Eileen d’Entremont and her husband William of Reading. William, donated his kidney to John and John’s family will be forever grateful for his selfless act of kindness.Brother in law to Jane of Lexington, Walter of Vero Beach,Florida and James of Waltham.Son in law of Virginia Mcusker of Vero Beach, Florida. Dear friend of Jeff Burke of Milton, John Mcdonough of New Hampshire, Joseph Donahue of Boston, John McDonnell of Scituate and Joseph Newman of Arlington. John is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

John cherished his time with his family, weeding and planting in the garden, and listening to great music. He had the gift of gab as they say and often sat with his legs crossed as if he was doing a TV interview. His will to survive the many medical obstacles, over the last 14 years, was driven from his desire to be there for his two sons because of his loss of his own dad at an early age. He had the greatest adoration for his former friend and barber in the North End “Johnny the barber” and his doctor who treated him for his Leukemia, Dr.Robert Soiffer at Dana Farber who he considered the best doctor in the world and a true friend in John’s eyes.
Eating pizza from Umbertos in the North end, a day on the beach in Marshfield with his friend Jeff, who would make him laugh at funny stories, and the occasion of attending the Christmas Boston Pops were the highlights of his days. He always had a smile, glad his feet touched the ground every morning, so he could start making plans letting everyone know what he wanted to do that day.

He was a very brave and courageous person, our hero. We are so thankful for all of the love and support over the years from our family and friends, and all the medical staff that helped take care of him. We all loved him very very much and we will miss him dearly.
