Paul V. “PJ” Cappella, Jr. passed away on Friday, February 10, 2017 after battling cancer for over a year, he was 51. He leaves his beloved children Anthony, Sarah and Margaux of Hingham. Loving son of Paul and Francine (Riley) Cappella of Hingham. He is survived by three siblings and their families. Kathy(Cappella) Longo and her husband Mike and their children Drew and Ashley. Jimmy Cappella of Torrance,CA., Andrea(Cappella) Kingston and her husband Craig and their children Cait and Jack and of course his beloved canine companion Duke.

He was very proud of his career with Colombia Threadneedle Investments, Boston, MA. Graduate of Hingham High School class of 1983, Curry College class of 1988. He enjoyed playing hockey in both high school and college as well as the Irish hockey men’s league. Paul loved playing golf with his family and friends as well as tournaments including the Joe Andruzzi Foundation Golf Tournament. He spent his weekends on his boat catching stripers and bass with his family and friends and of course Duke. He was always drawing a crowd of friends together for Boston sports and country concerts.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 3-8pm in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central ST.) Hingham.

A Celebration of Life service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday at 9:15 prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church, 147 North St. Hingham, Thursday at 10am.

Burial will be private.
