William P. Bjorkman, Sr.

Bjorkman, William P., Sr. of Weymouth, died April 14, 2015.

William founded the family business, Bjorkman Industrial Power Corporation headquartered in Weymouth, MA with his wife and sons in 1980. Bill served in the U.S. Navy aboard the submarine USS Cutlass (SS-478) where he was influenced to enter the field of DC Power Systems. Bill was an avid seaman and enjoyed many years of boating on the South River in Marshfield among his other interests such as woodworking, snowmobiling, marksmanship and mentoring to others. Bill also had a special relationship with his Bull Terrier Brittany, his loyal companion.

Beloved husband of the late Beverly A. (O’Rourke) Bjorkman. Loving father of William P. Bjorkman, Jr, and his wife, Jill, of Weymouth, Philip J. Bjorkman and his wife, Sharon, of Marshfield, Kenneth F. Bjorkman and his wife, Anne, of Plymouth, and the late Wayne D. Bjorkman. Brother of B. Jean Coyle of Weymouth, and the late Carl H. Bjorkman, Jr and Marguerite Grey. Brother in law of Ruth O’Rourke of Abington, and Judith Aldreghetti and her husband, Conrad of Barre, VT. Grandfather of Philip Jr, Christopher, Neil, Kerianne, Nicholas, Justine, Paige, Caitlyn, Danielle, and the late Brittany Catherine. Great-grandfather of Bentley, Kaleb, and Beverly. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-6 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital)  Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 10:15 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Weymouth at 11 AM. Burial in Village Cemetery, Weymouth.
