Condolences to the Family of William P. Bjorkman, Sr.

2015

I was very saddened to hear about the death of my old friend and shipmate. I served on board the Cutlass with Bill and we became good friends back then. I lived in Mount Vernon, NY during those years. On many a Sunday evening BJ, Fred Doucette and Artie Nunn would pick me up for the drive back to our Boat in Norfolk. I have fond memories of my old friend and shipmate. He was one of the Good Ones. May he rest in peace an be embraced by The Eternal Father Of The Sea.

I was truly sorry to hear about the passing of my old shipmate and friend. I served on the Cutlass back in 1955 thru 1957. We became good friends while on board that old Boat. I lived in Mount Vernon NY during those years. BJ, Fred Doucette and Artie Nunn used to ride from Norfolk to Mass on the weekends and they on many occasions would pick me up on Sunday evenings for the return trip back to our Boat. We had all developed a friendship and reliance on each other that came from serving on board a submarine
