I'm so sorry for your loss, even though I only met Rile a few times you could tell he was a loving, caring man. Sending my sorrow and deepest sympathy to you and your family.

Saddened and shocked to hear of Riles’ passing. First met him during our high school days, then reconnected with him when he was a Carpenter at the Garden. A great guy gone too soon. My condolences to the Rhodes Family.

I am glad to have known Rile and to have worked alongside him for a few years. He was always quick with a smile and looked out for his friends. I was deeply saddened to hear of his passing. My heart goes out to the Rhodes Family and all those who feel his loss. Rest easy, Rile.

Mark let our family know when he'd spoken with Rile. Hearing about his family and how happy you made him and how fulfilling his career was made me happy for him. Rile embodied what it means to be a union carpenter. Always picked up the phone when I called and went out of his way to help me in any way he could. Sending my deepest condolences to his family and friends.

I am truly saddened at the loss of Rile. I’ve known and worked with him since he joined the carpenters and will miss him. To his wife and kids my condolences. He will be in my thoughts.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I am a staff member of the South Boston Boys & Girls Club for almost 50 years and remember Rile as a young member. He never forgot where he came from and assisted the Club, and members, when called upon. Sponsoring events, volunteering at teen career night, or mentoring a member who was interested in joining the union - we could always count on Rile. An amazing person who will be sorely missed!!!!

I went to high school at NCC with Rile for part of my junior and the full senior year. We were teammates on the basketball team. While I lost touch with Rile for many years, Facebook reconnected us and I know he enjoyed watching my son progress in sports. Rile was competitive, but kind. He was funny and an all-around good guy. I really enjoyed my time knowing Rile in high school and know that I truly missed an opportunity to know Rile after high school. However, I left Boston many years ago and am glad I connected with him when I could. I'm sure the community he supported through his love of sports and coaching, as well as his children and extended family will miss him and hold him in their hearts.

So sorry for your loss. Had the pleasure of knowing and working with Rile on numerous occasions, and was always a pleasure to work with. 🙏☘️🙏

I will never forget him! Going way back when hurricane Andrew hit Miami and my son was at the university and I could not reach him for days he leaned over and grabbed my hand and said do you want me to go with you to Miami and we will find him. Oh my sweet friend I will never forget you and all our talks at The Caffe ( Caffee Spagnuolo’s) RIP🙏🏼I was looking so forward to my moving back home and seeing you but I guess it will be later in God’s garden💛
