Condolences to the Family of Peter Carl Lind

2021

Eighteen years ago, my family was lucky enough to move in next door to the Lind family. Peter was friendly from the start and loved to chat with us about the neighborhood, current events, and our families. It was an amazing coincidence that a self-taught, want-to-be woodworker moved in next door to a retired woodworking teacher for Quincy public schools. Often when I was working on a project in my garage shop Peter would stop by to check on what I was doing, offer advice and suggestions and just hang out. He would always talk about his family and his growing number of grandchildren and inquire about my family and projects. He was a warm and outgoing person and often had meaningful advice not just on projects but life as well. We are deeply saddened by his death and will miss him but are glad that we got to know him and his family.

We are so sorry for your loss. Peter was the mayor of Albany Street and he will be missed terribly. It was only last week that I saw him taking a walk all smiles as usual. Again we are so sorry.
