Condolences to the Family of Charles J. McEachern

2021

I am so sorry to learn of Chuck's passing. I met him and Jon on a trip to Italy in 1994, where a group of us became fast friends and had regular get-togethers for about 10 years after that trip. Both Chuck and Jon's warmth, humor, and fun-loving spirits were so special to me, and I am grateful to have known them. Chuck and I shared a love of art, learning, and a good glass of wine. He and Jon are together again, and I'm sure they are touring the universe together, fulfilling their love of travel and new adventures. Sending my heartfelt condolences to the family; we have many happy and precious memories of Chuck to help ease our sorrow. RIP, mio amico.

What an incredible photo journey of Chuck’s life. This is an incredible work of Love. I chuckled at remembering some of the stories attached. I didn’t want it to end! I’m comforted by imagining Chuck and Johnny playing with Jingles in a field. We were all blessed to have our lives touched by him.

Uncle Chuck had the most beautiful compassionate eyes. He was a part of our family for over 50 years and loved dearly. When Jon & Chuck came to a party, the Fun began. Later in life, he became caretaker of his Sisters in law Alice and Helen. What a wonderful example of how to live your life fully. I loved Chuck and pray he is Joyful in his reunion with Jon and family.

Though we were not related by blood, Chuck was every bit of an uncle to us as our uncle Johnny was. He was an intricate part of our family and shared many holidays and family parties. We will dearly miss his stories of his and Jon's travels, and the many shows both in NYC and London that they went to. Our condolences for his sister Sally and her family. We will miss you Chuck, rest in glorious peace and give our uncle, Jon a big hug from us.

Sally, Denise and family, We are so sorry about your loss and know something about what you feel as we too are missing Chuck. He was simply fabulous. So much fun, so interesting, so engaging. Chuck told stories unlike anyone else. We could listen to him for hours on end. His passion for reading, art, movies and theater was a reflection of his intellect and joy of life. He was so wonderful to our mother Alice and aunt Helen. And we loved how much he and Jon gave each other. It was beautiful to see and share. Our thoughts are with you. Colleen and Joe
