This may be too late to be seen but I just heard the news. Greg was my closest friend in high school and was one of the kindest, loveliest, funniest people I knew. He was also one of the most supportive friends I’ve ever had. We lost touch over the last many years but he has always remained in my heart and every memory of him is a fond one. My sincere condolences to his family and those he loved and who loved him.

Dear Sally, I hope this will reach you. I send my condolences and warmest wishes. Lew Spratlan conveyed to me the sad news of Greg's death. As you know, Greg's recent piano music was a subject of dialogue between us. I plan to record Chant and the Etudes, with your permission. I have the most recent versions as far as I know. What a kind, warm, encompassing life Greg led. It shows in the music too. I have been honored to know him since 1984. My deepest condolences. I learned so much from Greg who had compassion, creativity, sensibility, taste, generosity, a sense of duty and a "can do" approach to everything - such an inspiration and in so many ways, such the spirit of the Media Lab. I will really miss Greg and the special laugh and sense of humor, but I think he lives on through all of the people who had the opportunity to spend time with Greg.

Oh we miss you, Greg! Sally, so sorry for your loss. Glad we got some good time together. Greg was one of the most reliable and level headed people at the Media Lab, and managed things so well.. Totally deserved to be proud of E15!! I wish we could have done more hiking together but enjoyed sharing tips and pix from the southwest. I heard him play only once, at an MIT concert; loved hearing him, he was good! So sad to lose you.

With his dry wit Greg taught me many things in the world of music but the most important was to focus on listening to others and to figure out what if any contribution was needed at a given moment. I will miss playing along with his steady guitar and voice in several genres and will always appreciate the enthusiasm he and Sally brought to every occasion.

Greg was a great guy. I worked with him many years at MIT. when Greg managed the Medea Lab, which was one of the bldgs. that I did all the HVAC repairs. I’m so sorry to hear of his passing
