Condolences to the Family of Gregory A. “Greg” Bennett

2019

To Greg’s family and all who mourn the loss of Greg: I am so sorry for your loss of this wonderful person. I was stunned to learn he had passed, and pray for him and all those who mourn him. I worked with Greg during a few events, most notably at the Fresh Bite 5K for the Weymouth Food Pantry. During those events and this last event in particular I became acutely aware of Greg’s wonderful sense of humor and love of people. I will really miss him. Rest in peace Greg. 73, Jeff WK1D

I met Greg on the air a couple of years ago. He was one of the first people I talked to when I got involved with ham radio - he taught me so much and seemed to love helping other people. Sometimes I would be walking my dog at night with my portable handheld radio and Greg would keep me company with interesting conversations about just about anything. I will miss him. To his family: so sorry for your loss. It was a privilege knowing Greg

I never actually met Greg but he was such a familiar voice on the radio, and he delivered a welcome message to me when I first got my amateur license. He will be missed by so many people. My deep condolences to all his family and friends.

I am truly in shock and so saddened to hear of Greg's passing. The past few years we have worked together in amateur radio showed what a terrific guy he was, always helpful and doing so much for me and all our ham community. He will be greatly missed. I will always treasure the memories. Rest in peace my good friend.

Greg was always pleasant and entertaining as we helped rehabilitate several of his surgeries. I only hope that he realized how much he brightened the room whenever he would visit us. He will be greatly missed by the great community of Hull.

Greg, (KC1CIC) I'm at a loss of words as we were just talking a few weeks ago at field day. You will always be a big part of my ham radio world. You surely will be missed on the NTS nightly meetings. My condolences are with you and your family. Fair winds and following seas my friend. Rest in peace.

This is such sad news. Having known Greg since he left the Army and joined our Scuba club, we all shared many memories, and Great times. Haven't had the opportunity to see him since he moved back to Hull, but I would always look forward to his comments on Facebook. Paul Mathieu, co-founder, United Divers of Central Ma.
