Jim was a wonderful human being and an outstanding technician. He made huge contributions to many satellites and instruments over his 50 years at MIT. As a former Director of the Center for Space Research, I was proud and privileged to know and work with Jim. He made great contributions both technically and with his wonderful cheerfulness and spirit. Please accept my deepest sympathy on your loss, he will be missed greatly.
