2019

Worked with Bob over our years at Marine (HSBC) he was gentleman and dedicated banker. I always enjoyed working with him, I have often thought of him over the past several years. So sorry to hear of his passing. I was interested to hear he lived in Hingham. my niece Dee Dee Mullen and her husband John live in Hingham with their two daughters. So sorry for the families loss of Bob.

To Bob's family, a number of his former colleagues at MMB/HSBC try to get together once a year; regularly, we'd ask each other if anyone was in touch with Bob and, disappointingly, hear not. It wasn't until such conversations following the service for another individual we highly regarded (and you will recall), Steve Ames, and, then, determined Internet searching that we sadly learned of your and our loss. The years I worked for Bob were some of my better ones at the Bank; I appreciated his direction, openness, and, yes, humor. Thank you for sharing your reflections in the obituary; they brought back good memories and also provided a few insights to hold dear. May God bless you, ease your pain, and in His due time reunite you with Bob and all loved ones.

Bob was one of the best bosses I’ve ever had. I enjoyed every day we spent together in Williamsville with our assistant Ginger. He was hardworking and goal oriented but also had a pleasant disposition and a kind word for all. I never heard him raise his voice. He taught me one of my favorite expressions : “ The price of freedom is eternal vigilance “ May you rest in peace Bob !! My condolences to Sandy and the entire family. Nelson D. Civello

On Lou Ann Drive he called me Moncado, but I knew that he was really saying "I love you." As a husband, a father, a banker, a fireman, a neighbor, and a friend, I will truly miss Uncle Bob. I know that he has a knickname for Jesus.. wonder what it is? My prayers for Aunt Sandy, Susan, Mark, Julie and Jill and their families.
