My deepest condolences to the McGrath family. Though it’s been 2 years, I only learned about his passing today and I am without words. I worked with Ryan in NYC and we shared a strong bond and loved each other’s company. I regret that we had not been in touch for some time when he passed, but my memories of him are precious. He was such a selfless person and cared so deeply about people. He brought so much joy to this world, and that will always remain in all of the lives he touched. I hope that you continue to find strength, courage and peace through the love and laughter he brought to this world.

Deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Ryan, who was always a smiling, welcoming face. He will be missed, but his kindness, humor and memory will live on in all those who has the great pleasure of sharing his company.

It was my good fortune to know Ryan for about 5 years as captain of his rec league basketball team in NYC. Aside from being a talented athlete, Ryan always gave maximum effort, with a healthy dose of his understated humor on the side. I admired his energy, his enthusiasm for life, and his curiosity. Being 10 years older than him and far more jaded, his candor and outlook were breaths of fresh air. My deepest condolences to his family and friends.

Tod, Mimi, and Mikey: I will always have fond memories of Ry-bones. From lunches at Papa Gino's as a toddler to my last visit at Border Cafe. He was obviously a bright articulate young man with a unique sense of humor. I loved his laugh which I can still hear. He always was kind to our family, especially Auntie Erin, as he called her.
