Condolences to the Family of William A. “Bill” Richards Jr.

2014

We extend our deepest condolences to Bill's family. He was a great guy to grow up with at the Bra-Wey and Watson Park. Many good times and memories there. Too many to mention here. He'll be sorely missed by all of us in the "Bra-Wey Hangers" breakfast group. Peace to you, Billy. George and Patsy

I am so sorry that I never met Bill, except through the vivid and adoring descriptions of his daughter Karen, who is one of my colleagues at work. Karen is one of the finest people I know, and so that's how I know what a prince of a guy her father was. May the light that Bill brought into the world continue to shine in Karen and the rest of his family and friends.

My deepest sympathy goes to Bill Richards family and relatives. I would like to say, the first time I worked with Bill was in 1974 and we worked together quite often on jobs throughout the years until we retired. On many of these jobs, the work was very dirty and dangerous but when you worked with Bill, the job was done in a union manner. We would talk it out and work together. The job was done right the first time, making it finish on time and we would talk and joke while working which made the time pass. Bill and I were also instructors at the Apprentice School and enjoyed helping the apprentices as much as we could. When Bill and I got together we would talk about the different art projects we worked on. I always enjoyed talking to Bill, he was a good boilermaker, union man, instructor, artist and a good friend. I will miss him.

Billy aka "W.A.R." was one of the most talented individuals I ever had the pleasure to work with as a boilermaker. Billy had the driest sense of humor that always got a good laugh from all. He had no problem cutting to the chase & calling a spade a spade. I feel very privileged to have met Billy. He be be missed by all.

Karen, Billy, Maureen and the entire family, our heartfelt sympathies to all of you for such a loss of a wonderful man who had so much love for all of you. We have such terrific memories of "Bill " at our family get togethers. He was witty and had such a sense of humor. He will always be in our hearts and prayers. We were blessed to have had him in our lives.
