Condolences to the Family of Rev. Thomas J. Reilly

2014

To the family of Fr. Tom, I had the honor and pleasure of working with this devoted man on many occasions as a funeral director with the Keohane family and recall fondly what a terrific man he was! I'm so very sorry for your loss but I assure you his passage to his new life will be greeted with all those he touched along the way and he will be remembered for the wonderful person he always was!

Father Tom, You were a man among men and a priest among priests. You were also my dear friend. I, and my family will miss you, forever. No one will ever know how many people knew and loved you. You epitomized what we all should strive to be. Say hello to God and pray for all of us to join you in heaven some day. Thank you for being my life long friend, Dodo

Our long relationship with Fr. Reilly extended beyond just the BPD, and into family parishes. He was always a bright light, spreading love and smiles wherever he went. A dedicated police chaplain and ready listener, he went out of a warm home and into the dark nights of policing with unfailing duty. We'll miss you Fr. Tom, as will your many friends and surely, your very sad family members. You were an original priest with a true grasp of your ministry. Thank you for your lifetime of service and dedication to the Church you called home. May God wrap you in his loving arms!
