“Having worked in the funeral industry in this area for many years, I have come to truly appreciate the professional staff here. Their commitment to serving families in a compassionate manner and with a progressive openness to change really sets them apart from most funeral directors. It is great to be a part of such an exceptional team.”
Joe Reardon works with families interested in advance planning. He strongly believes that funeral preplanning can offer tremendous benefits, and also provides unique perspective on how funeral directors can help families through an extraordinary difficult experience:
“When families have made arrangements prior to the time of need, the role of the funeral director is focused less on business functions and more on guiding families in designing a personal and meaningful tribute. Through this I am reminded that while a death ends a physical life, it does not end a relationship. While the funeral confronts the reality of physical separation, it also celebrates relationships and the thoughts and memories they produce. In this sense, a good funeral is a gift that the funeral director helps the family create.”
Joe attended Boston College, University of Massachusetts, and New England Institute. He serves as a Trustee of Milton Cemetery, a board member of Manet Community Health Center, a board member of Quincy Asian Resources, and has memberships with Norfolk County Advisory Board, Quincy Lions Club, South Shore Hospital LINKS, and St. Agatha Parish Council. Joe also coaches youth sports.
