Wilfred A. Sevigny, Jr.

Wilfred A., Jr. Sevigny, of Weymouth, died February 7, 2016. Born in Quincy, May 4, 1923.

Graduated from Weymouth High in 1941. Enlisted in the Navy in 1942 and served as a metal smith aboard the USS Boise, Wiseman, Samuel Chase and Mauri as a Petty Officer 1st Class. He graduated from Burdette College. He was an audit manager for RH White Department stores, a field office manager for Conversion and Surveys at Stone and Webster and Director of Internal Audit at Farrington Manufacturing Co. He was an assistant Director for the Naval Area Audit Service, responsible for auditing naval activities from New Jersey to Iceland, the British Isles, Europe and North Africa. He was Director of Planning and Management at Defense Contract Administration Region Boston. Mr. Sevigny was a certified internal auditor and a life member of the Braintree Yacht Club. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and boating. 

Beloved husband of the late Eileen (Kelley) Sevigny. Devoted father to his three children, Susan Moakley and her husband Charlie of NH, Michelle Caruso and her husband David of Carver and Richard Sevigny of FL. He is also survived by his brother Russell Sevigny and his wife Mari of MD, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 2-5 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital) 

Funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home on Tuesday at 11 AM.

Burial in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy.
