Colantoni, Virginia E. (Leombruno) “Ginny” went to be with the Lord on December 26, 2018, after a long illness.

She was surrounded by family members at the time of her passing. Born and raised in Weymouth, Ginny graduated from Weymouth High School in 1955 and shortly thereafter married her beloved husband, the late John Colantoni of Hyde Park, MA. They purchased a home in East Weymouth and lived there the rest of their lives.

Ginny was a devoted mother of four children; John Colantoni Jr and his wife Denise of VA, Rick Colantoni and his wife Joanne of ME, Ed Colantoni and his partner Leo Tetrault of FL and Lisa Campbell of Methuen. She was also the cherished Grandma of Samantha, Nicholas, Jennifer, Michael, Andrew, Ella, Lucas and Maya. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Ginny was a stay-at-home mom for many years while raising her four children. Later on she worked as an office manager for the Hunt News Agency of Weymouth and then for the Boston Globe where she retired after more than 20 years of employment. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, traveling, gardening, playing cards, and spoiling her cats. She was fortunate to have many good friends and neighbors. She will be deeply missed.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday, December 30, from  2-6 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles & Middle Street). Funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home on Monday at 11 AM. Burial in Old North Cemetery, Weymouth.
