Thomas X. Diskin of Dorchester, passed away on July 10, 2018.

Cherished father of three children; Glynnis M. (Diskin) LaRosa of Raynham, Daniel C. Diskin and his wife Antonietta of E. Hampstead, NH, and Susan J. (Diskin) Warfield and her husband William of Middleborough. Thomas was the proud grandfather of Michael T. LaRosa, Stefanie L. Diskin, and Thomas J. Diskin.

Thomas served in the United States Navy during the Korean conflict. After his military service he began working at the Record American which later became the Boston Herald. He retired from the newspaper in 2003 after more than 45 years of service. Thomas was an exceptional artist; he also enjoyed photography and music. Thomas found great enjoyment spending time on the beach and being close to the ocean, which was evident by his many trips to Cape Cod and Aruba. His passion in life was his family; they were all that was truly important to him. He will be sadly missed.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday July 16, 2018 from 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., Quincy. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 10:15 AM on Tuesday July 17 prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Gregory Parish, 2223 Dorchester Avenue, Dorchester at 11 AM.  In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Thomas may be made to the Boston Medical Center, Cancer Care Support Services, c/o Development Office, 801 Massachusetts Avenue 1st Floor, Boston, MA 02118.
