Stephen Anzalone

Anzalone, Stephen of Weymouth, passed away after a brief battle with an illness on April 2, 2024. He was 70.

Born in Everett in 1953, he was the son of the late Giro and Carmella Anzalone.

Steve was a dedicated son, husband, father, papa, uncle, cousin, coach, mentor, and friend. He was able to make a friend and touch lives wherever he went. Steve was a hardworking, larger than life man that loved his family more than anything. He loved spending time with his grandkids, taking them out on the boat in Maine and attending their sporting events. Steve worked 38 years at Malden District Court, retiring as a First Assistant Chief Probation Officer in 2016. Steve enjoyed golfing, fishing, and was best known for his “World Famous” cooking. He was a standout athlete at Everett High School, going on to play football at Boston College and continued to play professionally in Canada. He was actively involved in many of the youth programs in the community; was the cofounder of the Weymouth Girls Basketball League and WJBL Senior League. Steve was unlike any other and will be missed by all who knew him.

Loving husband of 46 years to Kathleen (Woolf) Anzalone. Cherished father of Stephen Anzalone and his wife Melissa of Weymouth, Kathryn Long and her husband Brian of Braintree, and Jason Anzalone and his wife Jessica of E. Boston. Papa to Rocco, Giuliana, Ethan, Elliot, and Mia. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by his brother Michael Anzalone.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Sunday from 2:00 – 6:00 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 10 AM. Cremation will follow.
