Sandra A. Fareri

Fareri, Sandra A. (McGeoghegan) of Quincy and Harwichport, died October 25, 2018.  

Beloved wife of 52 years of Fran Fareri of Quincy.  Loving mother of Mark Fareri of Quincy, Suzanne Fareri-Early of Quincy and Kathleen Pease and her husband Ed of North Andover.  Devoted Nanny of Ali, Joseph, Molly, John Patrick, Owen, Bennett and Sadie.  Cherished daughter of the late Joseph and Camilla McGeoghegan.  Caring sister of Patrick McGeoghegan and his wife Susan of Hingham and John McGeoghegan and his wife Lois of Florida.  Adored sister in law of Santa Fareri and her partner Pamela Withee of Scituate.  Also survived by many extended family and dear friends.

Sandra graduated from Archbishop Williams High School, received her Bachelors degree from Emmanuel College and at the age of 60, went on to receive her Masters degree from Simmons College.  She had a love for learning and educating others.  Sandra was a teacher for 40  years, she started her career  in Abington Public Schools and later worked at St. Joseph’s in Quincy, St. Matthew’s in Dorchester and ended her career  with Boston Public Schools where she was a specialist in ESL along with being a lead teacher.  Sandra donated her time by feeding the homeless at Long Island Hospital. She also taught CCD at her parish church for many years.  She was an avid reader and enjoyed sewing.  Sandra’s family was the center of her life and she was very active in raising her grandchildren.  She will be remembered for her kind and generous soul and her unconditional love.  Sandra will be sadly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in Holy Trinity Parish at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.
