Samuel D. Leoncello

 

Leoncello, Samuel D. Sr. of Melrose, died November 24, 2022. Former husband of Theresa (Donahue) Leoncello of Quincy. Devoted father of Donna Steinberg of Quincy. Lotta Snowling and her husband Bill of Quincy. Samuel Leoncello Jr. and his wife Lynne of Dedham,  Christine Leoncello and her partner Franklyn McLaughlin of Weymouth, Lisa Schuele and her husband Craig of Kingston and Christopher Leoncello of Braintree. Brother of Theresa Allocca of Hyde Park, he is also predeceased by 10 brothers and sisters. Brother in law of Theresa Leoncello of Boston. Also 11 Grandchildren and 11 Great grandchildren.  

Sam lived his best life to the fullest. He mostly enjoyed his family, children, grandchildren and his great grand children. He loved making new friends. Sam loved to travel, although he hated flying, he did so as to visit his new found friends he met along the way. Those friends became Sam’s forever friends. Sam was a cook in the Army and it followed him throughout his life. He was such an amazing cook, he loved to share his cooking with his family and friends. Sam loved his Boston Red Sox and loved going to the games. He also loved to dance like everyone WAS watching and loved to be the life of the party. Sam was a proud United States Army veteran who served his country during the Korean War.   Dad, Papa, Sam you will be missed by all and you will forever be in our hearts! 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Sunday, Dec. 4 from  2-6 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.

Funeral service will be celebrated on Monday at 10:30AM in Keohane Funeral Home, Quincy.

Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne, MA  on Monday, Dec. 5th at 12:45 PM.
