Ruth A. Scully

Ruth A. (Curley) Scully of Hingham originally from Milton, died April 12, 2024 at the age of 97. The beloved wife of the late F. Gordon Scully.  Born in Milton in 1926 to Robert & Ruth (Welch) Curley. Ruth was a resident of Hingham for the last 30+ years, having lived in Linden Ponds since 2012. Ruth graduated from Milton High School Class of 1943 and furthered her education at Katherine Gibbs School graduating in 1945. Ruth worked as a Medical Registrar at Children’s Hospital until her retirement. She was an active member of St. Paul’s Parish in Hingham having served as an Eucharistic Minister for many years. Ruth volunteered for many activities and charities both at St. Paul’s as well as St. Gregory’s Parish in Dorchester.

Ruth was predeceased by her brothers Robert W. Curley, Philip Curley, Edward “Ned” Curley and her sister Virginia (Curley) Carroll. Ruth is survived by many nieces and nephews. The foundation of her life was her faith and her family. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited  to greet the family during the visitation on Wednesday morning from  9-10:30am in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11 AM in Church of the Resurrection, Hingham.

Burial in Milton Cemetery, Milton.
