Rocco Ambrosino

AMBROSINO, Rocco 96 of Mendon, and formerly of Quincy, died Tuesday July 17, 2018.

Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Norcento and Loretta (Talgeri) Ambrosino.  Beloved husband of the late Katherine (Doherty).  Brother of the late Anthony, Frank, Bernard, and Mary Ambrosino, Anna Arra, Santina Russo, and Lena Pacella.  Brother in-law of Mary Cicerone, and Joseph Doherty.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and nephews, and great-grand nieces and nephews.

Rocco was a United States NAVY, WW II veteran, and worked his entire career as a Machine operator at the Charlestown Navy Yard.  He also worked for many  years at the Cerebral Palsy of Massachusetts in Quincy.  He will be most remembered for his patriotism, his love for Italian Opera, his Boston Red Sox, and most importantly the children in his life whether it be family or the children he worked with at  the Cerebral Palsy school.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Saturday from 9-10 AM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY, with a  funeral service beginning at  at 10 AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Roslindale.  In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Rocco’s memory may be made to the Cerebral Palsy of Massachusetts / Tempus Unlimited, 600 Technology Center Drive, Stoughton, MA 02072, or visit www.masscp.org.
