Richard M. Parker

Richard M. Parker, known affectionately as Rich, passed away surrounded by his loving family on April 15, 2024.

Born in Quincy in 1962, he was the son of the late William E. and Mary S. (Ouillette) Parker.

Rich dedicated 24 years of his life to serving the community as a proud employee of the United States Postal Service. His commitment to his work was only matched by his passion for the simple pleasures in life.

Rich was an avid outdoorsman, often found tending to his yard with the same patience and care he showed to everyone around him. His love for antique cars was more than a hobby; it was a canvas for his meticulous craftsmanship and a conduit for making lasting memories.

Summers in Maine held a special place in Rich’s heart, as did the moments spent in the warmth of his family and friends. He will be remembered as the epitome of kindness, a gentle presence in a bustling world, and a friendly face that could light up any room. Rich’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and the quiet strength of a life well-lived.

Loving husband to Donna Parker. Dear brother to William Parker and his wife Shirley, Joyce Pelletier and her husband George, Judy Coyle and her late husband Kevin, Mary Carista and her late husband Joe and Barbara Chalmers. Rich was the loving uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Tuesday from 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Funeral service will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Richard may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284.
