Richard B. Archibald

Richard B. “Dick” Archibald, of Rockland, died June 14, 2018.

Dick was born and raised in Weymouth, living there for over 70 years. In his early years he served in the Army National Guard. He worked for Raytheon for 20 years and continued to work at Lowes for 8 years after retiring. He was a skilled handy man and woodworker, leaving everyone who knew him with a story to tell of how he helped them over the years. Dick was a member of the Weymouth Elks and past Elk of the Year. He enjoyed classical music, the holiday season and laughing with family.  

Beloved husband of Betty Archibald of Rockland. Devoted father of Beth O’Brien and her husband Kevin of Braintree and Michael Archibald and his wife Anne of Weymouth. Cherished Grampy of Nolan and Liam. Loving brother of Jacqueline Billings of Weymouth, William Archibald of Weymouth, Frank Archibald of Weymouth and the late Lois Ambach, David Archibald and Donald Archibald. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital).

Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 10 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Service in Old South Union Church, Weymouth at 11 AM.
