Marcella, Richard A. (Ricky) of Hull, died April 15, 2017.  

Richard’s family was the focal point of his existence.  He adored his grandchildren, children and especially his loving wife of 47 years, Janice.  A lifelong resident of Hull, Richard worked for the MBTA and also as a Bail Commissioner for the Hingham District Court.  He enjoyed living by the ocean,washing his car, being Santa to many families over the years, staying active, taking long walks, biking, and travel.  He will be remembered for his sense of humor, strength, strong work ethic, caring nature, and compassionate heart.  

Beloved husband of Janice (Comeau) Marcella of Hull.  Loving father of Leslie Proteau and her husband Brian of VT, Patricia Marcella of S. Boston, Christine Marcella of Weymouth, and Richard A. Marcella, Jr. and his wife Meghan of Weymouth.  Brother of Ronald Marcella of Hull, Paul Marcella of Marshfield, and the late Phillip “Skip” Marcella and Robert “Captain Bob” Marcella.  Grampy to Amber, Andrew, Ashley, Robert, and Broden.  Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.  

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Parish in St. Ann’s Church, Hull at 10 AM.
