Regina M. Griffin

Regina M. (Brennan) Griffin,  of Hanover, died November 13, 2018 at the age of 74.

Regina was born and raised in Quincy, Massachusetts.  She graduated from Quincy (North) High School and Bridgewater State University.  She had a passion for education and she loved children, which led her to a career as an elementary school teacher.  She also helped run a family printing business for many years.  Later, she became a court reporter in the Massachusetts Superior Court system for almost 30 years. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother.  She believed in living life with “quiet courage.”  She adored her family, who she taught to live with love, joy and kindness.  She had a quick wit, tremendous faith, indomitable strength and an irrepressible optimism.  She loved to be outdoors.  She enjoyed her gardens, her pool and long walks in the woods near her house.  She had a passion for the arts, which she expressed through song, painting and playing the bassoon and clarinet.  She was, and will always be, the heart and soul of her family.  She always put family first and we are all the better for having known such a loving and selfless person.

She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Johanna Brennan and is survived by her husband Daniel E. Griffin, III; her children Christine M. Griffin and husband Stevan A. Brasel of Dover, Susan P. Griffin of Rockland, and Daniel E. Griffin, IV and wife Eleonore K. Griffin of Cambridge; her grandchildren Vivian M. Brasel and Daniel E. Griffin, V; and her siblings Mary Parker of NH, Dianne Sylvester of NH, Kathleen Cataldo of Attleboro, Peter Brennan of Plymouth, and the late Geraldine Higgins, Dolores Brennan, Joseph Brennan, Dennis Brennan and Debra Brennan.  She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
