Strungis, Phyllis (Podbielski) of Quincy, formerly of So. Boston, died January 20, 2018.

Phyllis’ entire life centered around her loving family.  She enjoyed the time spent with family and friends.  A gifted artist, Phyllis was a longtime member of the Quincy Art Association and enjoyed painting, quilting and knitting.  She was an active participant at her church for many years.  Phyllis was an avid viewer of television cooking shows and loved to try new recipes.  She will be remembered for her kindness, gentleness, sense of caring, and always seeing the good in other people.

Beloved wife of the late Walter E. Strungis.  Loving mother of  Gerard P. of Quincy, Jeffrey L. and his wife Karen of FL, Philip A. and his fiance Nova of the Philippines, Christopher W. of NY, Justine Tumas and her husband John of DE, Elaine C. Strungis of Quincy, and Andrea K. Henkels and her husband Tim of W. Boyleston.  Also survived by 10 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-6 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne, at 12:30 PM.
