Paula M. DeGaust

Paula M. (Manion) DeGaust of Weymouth, (born October 14, 1969) died suddenly on November 14, 2017.

Originally of South Boston, Paula was born to Paul Manion of Weymouth and the late Joan (McComber) Manion. She attended Boston High School where she met her beloved husband, the late Lawrence Paul DeGaust, III. She worked for many years as a secretary for the MBTA. Paula enjoyed going to rock concerts- seeing Chicago three times a year! – but her happiest moments in life were spent with her children. Together with her children and longtime partner, Michael Belben of Weymouth, Paula enjoyed taking road trips to visit family and friends. She recently took the trip of a lifetime to the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Known as the woman whose smile could light up a room with her contagious laugh and easy-going presence. Loving mother of Lawrence P. DeGaust, IV and Renée A. DeGaust, both of Weymouth. Dear sister of Peter E. Manion of Dorchester and Joseph W. Manion of Everett. Predeceased by her sister Pamela Manion. Paula is survived by her partner, Michael Belben, many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 1-4 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square).
