Paul F. Collins

Paul F. Collins, 95, of Hingham died at Linden Ponds Senior Living Community on August 5, 2022.

Born in New York City to parents John P. Collins and Estelle Levitre Collins, Mr. Collins and his wife Mary Campbell Collins spent many happy years in Bethesda, MD. Paul and Mary also spent many summers in his family hometown, Newport RI. They retired to New England in 1999.

Paul attended Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, graduating with an Engineering Degree. At Rensselaer, Paul was in ROTC and served in the U.S. Army as a Second Lieutenant during the Korean War. Thereafter, he enjoyed a distinguished career in the nuclear power industry attaining an executive position. He retired from N.R.C after 30 years of government service.

Paul was an avid golfer until the age of 85. He served as a scorer for many Masters Tournaments when living and working in Aiken, S.C. For the DuPont Company.

He is survived by many loving nieces and nephews of his and his wife Mary’s family

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Wednesday 8:30-9:30 AM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM followed by the Funeral Mass in Church of the Resurrection, Hingham at 10 AM. Burial will be private.

A Celebration of Life for Paul will be held for Linden Ponds residents on August 25, 2022.
