Mrs. Ivy D. (Coates) Gay, of Weymouth, passed away on May 25, 2017.

Ivy was a volunteer for many years at her church at the bakery table and was head of the flower club. She was a member of the Electro Switch 25 year club which took many field trips that she enjoyed.

Husband of the late Robert Gay. Loving mother of Stephen Chamberlin of Weymouth. Sister of  William Coates and Marjorie LaPlume both of Braintree. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square). Relatives and friends will gather at the Funeral Home on Wednesday at 9:30 AM followed by her Funeral Service at 10:30 AM in the Unitarian Universalist Church of Weymouth, 83 Sea Street, Weymouth, MA 02191. Burial will follow in Village Cemetery, Weymouth.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ivy may be made to Unitarian Universalist Church of Weymouth.
