Michael J. Mercurio of Hull passed away peacefully on May 16, 2015 after a long courageous battle with diabetes. He was 75.

Michael is survived by his wife of 54 years, Judith, his daughter, Maureen (John) Leeber and his son, Michael. Michael was predeceased by his parents, James and Lucy and his brothers, Theodore and James. He is survived by nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews and his godchildren.

Michael spent many years with the family business, Mercurio’s Market and was owner of A-1 Lock and Security for over 45 years. A-1 Lock is currently being run by his son-in-law, John Leeber. Michael also enjoyed a wonderful business relationship with Cazeault Hardware and Bolt Depot. He was a loyal fan of Boston sports teams – Patriots, Red Sox, Bruins and Celtics.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Mass in Glastonbury Abbey, 16 Hull St., Hingham on Friday, June 5th at 9:30 AM. Donations in memory of Michael may be made to the Norwell Visiting Nurse Assoc., 120 Longwater Dr., Norwell, MA 02061.
