Arrufat, Michael D. “Mike” of Quincy, age 29, passed away after a long battle with the disease of addiction on February 13, 2017.
Mike was a longtime resident of Quincy. He was quite the athlete. He played baseball with Quincy Youth Baseball, hockey with Quincy Youth Hockey and Dorchester Youth Hockey, Division 1 Football for BC High and Rugby with the US Olympics under 19. Mike has his Associate’s Degree and was working to further his degree in Business Finance. He was a very kind, intelligent and compassionate man who’s smile could light up a room. Mike was giving and was always willing to help anyone. He will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Loving son to Bernadette Donahue and Antonio Arrufat of Quincy. Dear brother to David Arrufat of Quincy and Jacqueline Arrufat of FL. Cherished grandson to Anna Donahue of Milton and the late David Donahue Carmen Heyliger and spouse Pedro of Puerto Rico and the late Antonio Arrufat. Beloved nephew to Larry Donahue and Donna Kemp, Peggy Barthelmy and the late Bart Barthelmy, Mary and John O’Brien, William and Daisy Donahue, Jimmy and Patty Donahue, Stephen and Dawn Donahue, Maritza Sevilla, and Tomas Arrufat. He is also survived by a niece and nephew, many cousins, friends and extended family.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-6 PM at the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 10 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Service in Evangelical Congregational Church of Atlantic, Quincy, 65 Newbury Ave, North Quincy, MA 02171, at 11 AM.
