Michael A. “Mike”  Sample of Braintree, passed away on surrounded by his loving family on October 14, 2017. He was 72.

Mike worked for Local # 103 at The Boston Globe as an electrician for over 25 years until his retirement in 2003. He was a longtime member of the Squantum Yacht Club as well as Braintree Yacht Club. He enjoyed fishing, boating, playing cards with his buddies and the great times spent in Florida, bowling and playing horseshoes. An avid walker,  Mike will always be remembered for his smile and the infamous wink right up to his last days. He will be dearly missed by all those that knew and loved him.

Beloved husband of Bernadette (Powers) Sample. Loving father of Michael A. Sample and his wife, Sarah, of Braintree, and Amy Tuckerman and her wife, Leah, of Medford. Proud papa to Robert M. Sample and Griffin M Tuckman. Brother of Nancy Brown and her loving husband Thomas, of Shrewsbury. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 10:45 AM Thursday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Braintree at 12 PM. Burial will follow in Braintree Cemetery.
