Marc Peter Lange – March 1, 1965 – December 8, 2023

Marc Peter Lange, born in Caracas, Venezuela, March 1, 1965, has departed this earth, but not our hearts.  An unfailingly kind and gentle man, his beauty, his bright mind, infectious humor, and his devotion to those he loved will never be forgotten.  He valued nothing more than sharing time and talking with his friends, family and his wife Tracie about anything and everything.

Raised as an ex-pat in Venezuela, Nigeria, India and Austria, Marc travelled extensively growing up and spent time with his extended family in El Salvador and Germany.   He loved the ocean, its majesty and mystery, and was happiest at his home in Marshfield along his cherished North River.

Marc initially went to Florida Institute of Technology to be a deep-sea diver and then went onto graduate from Bridgewater State University.   He worked for many years for the Marshfield Harbormaster, then went on to a career in logistics. His exceptional mind enabled him to organize warehouses and international delivery systems on a massive scale, and his warm heart and sense of humor endeared him to his co-workers.  Marc then applied his ability to becoming a highly successful day trader.

Many who knew Marc were touched by his constant, loving and courageous devotion to his first wife, Diane (Jones) Lange, who succumbed in 2010 to a long battle with breast cancer.  Marc was predeceased by his father Peter H. Lange in 2008, his mother Heidemarie (Walte) Lange and his Uncle Juan Walte in 2019.

Marc is survived by and was blessed to marry his loving wife Tracie (Lyons) Lange in 2013.   Tracie dearly and kindly loved Marc and was his best friend, loving companion and partner in love and life.

Marc is also survived by his aunt Magda Isabel (Dita) and husband Roger Wisard of Florida.  His cousins Monique, Marcel, Juan Carlos, Eberhard (Hardy), Ralph, Simon, Johanna and Tobias.

He also leaves behind extended family and friends, including Uta Williams and her husband Roger and their children Kathrin Greer and Roger Williams.  His “second” family, Jacquie and Herb Gammons, Chris Gammons, Emily Gammons Chapelle, and Mark Gammons.  His In-laws – the Lyons and Jones families, his nieces and nephews and many great friends.

Per Marc’s request, there will be no service or funeral. A celebration of his life will be planned for a later date. In remembrance of Marc, Tracie requests that you plant a tree or shrub to enjoy for years to come or donate to a charity of your choice.
