Mabel Kemp “Sis” London

Mabel Kemp “Sis” London of Quincy, died unexpectedly at her home on Wednesday December 5, 2018, she was 87.

Born in Quincy, she was the daughter of the late Captain James Walter Kemp (Ret. Quincy PD), and Mabel A. (McMahon). Mabel retired from Bank of Boston where she was the Administrative Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer for many years. She enjoyed boating and horseback riding, and loved all animals, especially her own companions; her two Danny Boys who were cremated when they passed will share Mabel’s casket and Misha, her current dog, and Doyle, her cat. Mabel lived with Diabetes and its effects for much of her life, and was honored with a commemorative medal from the Joslin Diabetes Center for successfully managing the disease for over 50 years.

Mabel was the devoted mother of Brian K. London and his wife Tricia of Westwood; loving grandmother of Alex London of Worcester, and Jillian E. London and her fiancée Matthew Banks of Norwood. She was the sister of the late James “Wally” Kemp, and the aunt of Dana W. Kemp of Braintree. Mabel was the former wife of the late Arnold London.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday from 9-10:30 AM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY, prior to the Funeral Mass in Holy Trinity Parish at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Quincy at 11 AM. Burial in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy.
