Louise A. Kearns

Kearns, Louise A. (Keddie) “Lulu” of Quincy, born January 4, 1914 and died July 9, 2018 at the age of 104.

Beloved wife of 53 years to the late John F. Kearns Sr.  Loving mother of John F. “Jack” Kearns, Jr. and his wife Margaret of Weymouth, Francis X. “Bud” Kearns and his wife Nancy of Quincy and the late Alexander “Sandy” Kearns who died in infancy.  Cherished Lulu to 10 grandchildren and Nana Lu to 24 great grandchildren.  She is the last survivor of 6 children of Alexander and Louise Keddie.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Louise was born in Charlestown and graduated from Charlestown High School.  She later moved to Quincy where she has lived for the past 63 years.  Louise was a long time supervisor at Filene’s Basement.  She was a devout Catholic and devoted to saying the rosary daily, she also volunteered at St. John’s Church in the 90’s. Louise was active in the Quincy senior clubs and enjoyed spending time with friends and family.  Her main passion in life was her family.  Louise will be sadly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. John’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
