Lorraine (Nadeau) Boucher

Lorraine (Nadeau) Boucher of Exeter, NH, formerly of Plymouth, MA and Rockland, MA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 21, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at Langdon Place of Exeter.  Lorraine’s life was a tapestry of family, love, devotion, hard work and her Catholic faith.  

Born on September 12, 1927, Lorraine was one of twelve children, raised in Fort Kent, Maine by their devoted parents Damase & Elodie (Daigle) Nadeau.  

She married her beloved husband, the late Dr Norman Boucher and headed south to the Boston area where Norman attended Tufts University School of Dentistry and began their family. As the family grew, they initially settled in Weymouth MA and then permanently in Rockland, MA, where they planted their family roots and raised eight loving children. Lorraine’s most cherished and proudest possession was her family.

She is survived by her children: Phyllis Boucher of Greenland, NH; Jeanine Montgomery of South Hadley, MA; Denise & Richard Lincoln of Hingham, MA; Donna Boucher of Monmouth, ME; Mark & Diane Boucher of Falmouth, ME; Peter & Pamela Boucher of Plymouth, MA; Steven & Susan Boucher of Newton, NH; Paul & Kristen Boucher of Sandwich, MA.

Fifteen Grandchildren: Beth Montgomery, Amanda Montgomery, Michael Boucher, Brennan Lincoln, Frederick Bickford III, Colin Lincoln, Andrew Boucher, Berlynna Heres, Garrett Lincoln, Cameron Heres, Lauren Bullock, Victoria Boucher, Arielle Boucher, Sophia Boucher, and Olivia Boucher. 

Five Great Grandchildren and a brother, Alberie Nadeau of Fort Kent, ME.

With a real zest for life, Lorraine loved walking, bingo, puzzles, bird watching, solitaire, sudoku, mahjong, travel, the Boston Celtics &  Red Sox, classic country music, daily journal writing, and her most favorite song was “I’m the happiest girl in the whole USA” which truly exemplified her positive attitude and happy personality.

Services to honor and celebrate Lorraine’s life will be held on Sunday, April 14, 2024 from 10am – 12pm visitation, with a brief Catholic service at noon, at McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, 809 Main Street, Weymouth, MA 02190.
