Lauretta (Galluzzo) Peters, age 90  of Cohasset,  passed away surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday August 23, 2016. 

Lauretta was born, raised and educated in Hingham. She married her late husband Louis and settled in Hingham to raise her family. Lauretta worked for many years as a telephone information operator at New England Telephone Company. She enjoyed crocheting, the Red Sox and chocolate. She will be remembered as a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great – great grandmother who will be sadly missed. 

Lauretta was predeceased by her husband Louis L. Peters and her daughter Diane Leonard. She is survived by her two daughters Mary Peters of Norwell and Jane Cifrino and her husband Tom of Cohasset. Lauretta is the cherished grandmother of six grandchildren Lori Stahl and her husband Dave, Teri Anderson and her husband Rich MacTaggert, Tom Cifrino, Jr. and his wife Erica, Jennifer Avellino and her husband Joe, Peter Kershaw and Alan Kershaw. Mother in law of John Leonard. She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Sister of Anthony Galluzzo and the late Carmelina Tarzia, Virginia Michalski, Ida Servidio,Florence Protulis, Armenio Galluzzo and Violet Ricca. Lauretta is also survived by many devoted nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-6 PM in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church, Hingham at 10 AM. Burial will be private at a later date.
