Kenneth D. Kerr

Kenneth Daniel Kerr, Esq., age 76, of Hingham and Brewster, died peacefully, Monday, December 5, 2016   in the comfort of his loving wife, Peggy. Ken was born in Boston, raised and educated in Quincy and was a graduate of Archbishop Williams High School in Braintree, Class of 1958. He graduated from Colgate University in 1962 where he was captain of both the football and hockey teams. Ken was a 1965 graduate of Boston College Law School. He was an attorney in private practice for over thirty-five years with an office in Quincy Center concentrating in real estate and probate law. Ken lived with his family in Hingham for thirty-three years and spent many summers in West Dennis and Brewster. He was an avid runner throughout his life and ran many marathons around Massachusetts, including the Boston Marathon.  He ran his final marathon, the NYC Marathon, in 2006.  

Beloved husband of Peggy (Horan) Kerr for fifty-one years, and devoted father of Scott Kerr and his wife Hiroko Nakazawa of Tokyo, Japan, Brian Kerr and his wife Kimberly Kerr of Hingham, and Lisa Kerr and her husband Ramiro Ferrey of Cape Elizabeth, ME. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Maggie Kerr, two nephews, Paul and Mathew Kerr, and five grandchildren, Kou, Sophie, Brendan, Leo, and Alex. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday, Dec. 9 from 4-7pm in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St. ) Hingham.
