Kathleen A. (Ferris) Burns of Whitman and Weymouth, died October 7, 2018 at the age of 77.

Family and friends were the focus of Kathleen’s life. She loved to host for the holidays and cherished playing cards and Bingo with her group of girlfriends.

Beloved wife of Edwin F. Burns, Jr. Loving mother of Alan Burns and wife Gayle of Meredith, NH, Cheryl Mooney and partner Ron Ricci of Pembroke, and Karen Coveney and husband Rich of Halifax. Devoted “Nana” of Tim, Chris, and Jon; Jen and Tom; and Derek and Drew. Loving sister of Thomas Ferris and his late wife Phyllis of Weymouth, the late Michael Ferris and his wife Jackie of Lancaster, Bernadette Fanning and husband Joseph of Brunswick, ME, David Ferris and wife Marie of Hanover, Paul Ferris and wife Terry Maze, and Theresa Macaluso and husband James, all of Abington. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Funeral service will be celebrated on Friday at 11:30 AM in the funeral home. Burial in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
