John D. “Jack” Perry

Quincy, MA – Perry, John D. “Jack,” passed away peacefully on March 5, 2024, at home with his son Michael by his side.

Born in Somerville, MA on July 21, 1938 and raised in Weymouth, MA, he was the son of the late Manuel “Manny” and Florence Perry.

John is survived by his children Irene Kneeland and her husband George of South Weymouth, Maureen Simpson and her husband Fred of Concord, NH and Michael Perry of Quincy, as well as his devoted and adoring sister Frances “Frannie” DeLorenzo of Middleboro. He is the proud godfather to Elaine Spitz, Tina Ponce, Tracey Emberley and Shereane Houston. Grandfather of Jonathan Theberge, Cecilia (Theberge) Tincknell and husband James, Richard Brennan, Madison, Colette, Elio and Frederick Simpson. Great grandfather to Ryan, Erin and JJ Theberge.

John is predeceased by his beloved wife of 54 years, Lucille (Tourigny) Perry, oldest daughter Michelle (Perry) Theberge and grandson Lucien Theberge.

John was an avid roller skater in his teen years, bowler and handyman. He was a navy veteran serving The U.S.S. Wasp. He was employed at the former American Electric Furnace Company in Dorchester, as an industrial furnace maker for over 40 years, before enjoying a fun filled retirement traveling New England with Lucille. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Friday, March 15 from 4-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles & Middle Street). Funeral service will be celebrated on Saturday, March 16 at 10:30 AM in McDonald Keohane Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles & Middle Street), Weymouth. Burial in Fairmount Cemetery, Weymouth.
