Jeanne M. Fleming

Fleming, Jeanne Marie (Rabbitt) of Quincy, formerly of Braintree, 86, passed away at Tufts Medical Center in Boston surrounded by her family on March 2, 2017.  

Jeanne was the youngest of 8 children born to James J and Hannah (Anna) Theresa (Brosnahan) Fleming on February 14, 1931, in Boston, MA.  She was predeceased by her sisters Esther, Ethel, Miriam, Margaret, and Ann.  Jeanne was the beloved mother of Anne Marie Rabbitt of Quincy, Claire M Errico and her husband James of Londonderry, NH and their children Nicholas and Christina, and her son James F Rabbitt of Weymouth, his fiancé Michelle Paone and his children Shawn, Jennifer, and Kevin.  She is also survived by her sister Eileen F Gillis of Wayland and her twin brother James J Fleming of Dover, as well as many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.  Jeanne will always be remembered for her devout faith, unwavering love for her family, and her strength in the face of adversity.  She was especially proud of her Irish heritage and sharing her Valentine’s Day birthday with her twin brother “Buddy”. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday March 6th from 4-8 PM at Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY and Tuesday at 9:45 AM prior to the 10:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial at St. Ann’s Church, 757 Hancock St, Quincy.  The Rite of Committal will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, 990 La Grange St, West Roxbury.
