Glenn Alan Finlayson

Glenn Alan Finlayson passed away February 16, 2018 at 8:40am at Colonial Nursing Home after a long battle with early onset Alzheimer’s disease. He was 66 years old. He previously had owned his own rental property in Malden, MA.

Glenn grew up in Wakefield, MA and graduated from Wakefield High School before attending Northeastern University, where he received his B.A. in Liberal Arts on June of 1973.  As a teenager, he was a member of the Quannapowitt Yacht Club where he enjoyed sailing and racing.  His favorite high school course was Mr. Morse’s Senior World History class, and he treasured the Tech Tourney of 1965, and riding around in his little red Studebaker.  Most recently he worked for Hertz at Logan Airport as a driver, and Hudson Bus Lines before that.

He leaves behind two sisters: Carol Finlayson, of South Weymouth, MA and Janice MacDonald of Great Falls, Virginia, along with his two nieces, Heather Freeman, of Rye, NY, and Kerry Ellis of Brooklyn, NY and their respective families.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-7 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Funeral service will be celebrated on Friday at 11 AM in the Funeral Home. Cremation will follow.
