George Peter Valli

George Peter Valli of Bradenton, FL, formerly a longtime resident of Quincy, passed away on Monday, April 3, 2023. He was 91.

He was born in New York, NY to Catherine (Kearney) and Peter Valli and raised in New York City. Shortly after high school, George enlisted in the United States Navy for 4 years. While serving, he was stationed in Boston where he met the love of his life, Rosemary Wyman. After marrying they lived in South Boston, starting a family, eventually moving to Quincy in 1965. George worked as a Manager of Shipping and Receiving for Jacobson Floral Supply, Inc. for 30 years before retiring. A few years after his beloved Rosemary passed in 2001, George moved to Bradenton, FL where he was close to his daughter Maureen. He enjoyed his new community, was cherished by his many friends there and will be greatly missed.

George was always very family oriented. He looked forward to family get-togethers in his backyard by his swimming pool. He enjoyed traveling with Rosemary, including many road trips and cruises. He was a jigsaw puzzle enthusiast, with no challenge too big. George was kind and trustworthy. His listening ear made him a confidant for many family members, friends and coworkers alike. His office at work sported a sign that read “George’s Chapel”, as it was a safe haven for those that needed someone who’s discretion and advice they could count on. He made friends wherever went and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Beloved husband of 48 years to the late Rosemary Valli. Devoted father to Maureen Giordano of Parrish, FL, George H. Valli and his wife Gale of Braintree, Christopher Valli and his wife Briget Bride of  Randolph, and Steven Valli and his wife Kathy of Quincy.
