Francisco “Frank”, “Ko” Jesus Carbullido

Francisco “Frank”, “Ko” Jesus Carbullido, a beloved family man and esteemed businessman, long-time resident of Hayward, California, passed away on April 7, 2024, at the age of 76. Born and raised in the bustling family environment of Hågat village on the island of Guam, USA, Frank was the sixth among sixteen siblings. His early life in Guam, marked by an enduring smile and an infectious laugh, laid the foundation for his remarkable work ethic, first evidenced through his contributions to his family’s Mobil Stations.

Frank’s spirit of service led him to the US Air Force, where he served diligently for eight years, including time as a valiant Vietnam War veteran. His post-military life was characterized by numerous successful business ventures, initially on his beloved island and subsequently in California, enriching the lives of those around him with his entrepreneurial spirit and heartfelt generosity.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Francisco Arceo and Ernestina Jesus Carbullido; his first wife, Rosalind; brothers Johnny, Julian, Pete (and his wife Elisabeth), Joe, Benny, Ray, Tony, his father-in-law Joel Hathaway and son-in-law Ricardo Delgado.  Their memories continue to inspire and guide him in spirit.

Frank’s legacy is carried forward by his wife, Deborah Hathaway Carbullido, and his children, Frank (and his wife Yasuko), Doreen, and Georzann Manibusan. Frank is also survived by his siblings: Mary, Julie (& John) Leon Guerrero, Marian (& Henry) Washington, Terrie (& Joe) Castro, Lupe, Valentino, Christine (& Rand) Bethea, and Tom; as well as brothers-and sisters-in-law: Frances, Cecilia, Pamela, Aurora Carbullido, Tracy (& Mike) Cronin and Joel Hathaway (& Traci Lang).  He is also lovingly remembered by his mother-in-law, Carolyn Puleo, and stepdaughters, including Natalia Carbullido, Lea Carbullido, and Alani Carbullido. His life was further enriched by the joy of his grandchildren: Justine, Kanon, Leena Rose, Sea, Miku, Sky, Tehani, Mayson, Liam and three generations of nieces and nephews.
