Callahan, Esther M. (Mahoney) of Hingham, formerly of Dedham, passed away February 8, 2018.

Esther grew up very proud of her Irish heritage and enjoyed step dancing in her early years. She was an avid reader, baseball fan and devout Catholic. Her family fondly remembers vacations to Cape Cod with Esther. She was happiest when surrounded by family and friends in the comfort of her home. She will be dearly missed.

Beloved wife of 60 years to the late Edward Foch Callahan. Devoted mother of Karen Masters and her husband Richard of Halifax. Cherished Nana of Shelly Pitts and her husband Matthew of Halifax.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation on Tuesday 9:30 AM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A funeral mass will follow in St. Albert the Great Church, Weymouth at 11 AM. Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne.
