Tobin, Eileen Julia Bell of Weymouth, passed away peacefully on July 28, 2018 at the age of 99.

Eileen was born and raised in London to an Irish mother and English father. She pursued a career in the performing arts and studied with Sir Laurence Olivier and Sir John Gielgud at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts. She played leads in three motion pictures for Gainsborough Studios before meeting her husband, Joseph H. Tobin, and coming to the United States. She performed in regional theater and summer stock in New York and Massachusetts. She was a gifted radio performer who lent her voice to a number of popular radio shows in Boston and the south shore over the years. She was a passionate supporter of Alcoholics Anonymous and Al-Anon Groups. In later years, she counseled people suffering from alcoholism and helped shape a pioneering DUI program in the Quincy court system.

Eileen was pre-deceased by her husband Joseph H. Tobin, by her dear sister Rosalind Bell and brother, Geoffrey Bell of London. She was the loving mother of Tobin Bell of Malibu, CA, Charles Tobin of Bethesda, MD and Wendy Stahlka of Buffalo, NY. She was proud Grandmother to Stacie, Michael, Allison, Justin and Cooper and Great Grandmother to Juliet and Xavier.

A private memorial mass will be held in St. Albert the Great Church in Weymouth at a later date. She will be laid to rest at The Garden of Remembrance, on the banks of River Thames in Richmond, Surrey, England.
