Edward Foch Callahan of Hingham, formerly of Dedham and Jamaica Plain, passed away September 27, 2016 surrounded by his loving family.
Ed owned and operated Callahan’s Mens’ Stores in both Jamaica Plain and Roxbury. He was a World War II veteran serving with the United States Army and was the proud recipient of many military service awards and medals. He was also a proud alumni of Boston University. He will be dearly missed by all those that knew him.
Beloved husband of 60 years to Esther M. Callahan. Loving father of Karen M. Masters and her husband, Richard, of Halifax. Cherished Grampy to Shelly M. Masters and her fiance, Matthew Pitts, of Halifax. Brother of Paul M. Callahan of Jamaica Plain and the late Donald P. Callahan and Gloria A. Callahan.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation on Tuesday at 8:30 AM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital), followed by his Funeral Mass In Saint Albert the Great Church, Weymouth at 9:30 AM. Burial will follow in MA National Cemetery, Bourne.
