Spillane, Edna M. (Patnode) of Weymouth, 98, passed away June 22, 2017. Born in Clinton, MA to the late Charles and Selina (Montville) Patnode. Edna attended her schooling in Boston and worked in retail for over 20 years. She was the social director at the Whipple Center in Weymouth. Her family was her passion. In addition, she was a special caregiver to many neighborhood children and families.

Beloved wife of the late John F. Spillane, Sr. Loving mother of Beverly Carey and her husband Paul of Weymouth; Debbie Spillane St. Coeur and her husband Brad of FL; Patrick J. Spillane and his wife Denise of Wareham, the late John F. Spillane, Jr. and mother in law of Cheri. Proud Grandmother to Paul Jr., Ellen, Jim, Brandy, Nicole, Alicia, John III, Michael, and Tiki Largo. Also survived by 14 Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday, June 26 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Weymouth at 10 AM. Burial in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Edna’s memory to the Disabled Veterans.
